Week 14 in Digitalization Class

 On 28th June 2024, I had my last and final lesson with my beloved lecturer, Dr Fareed as this is the last week for my semester. In today's class, I had learned the topic of "Information System Aquisition". In "Information System Aquisition", there are 5 alternatives available in IS Aquisition in any organization. These include "Buy off the Shelve", "Lease Applications", "Insourcing", "Self-sourcing" and "Outsourcing". Each different IS has different usage of IS system in different organizations. Moreover, there are also different pros and cons in each IS system. Not only that, my class and my lecturer had also discussed about the final confirmation on the CIPUPM project that we carried out and the completion of our "Google Digital Garage (GDG)". Week 12 in Digitalization Class

On 12th June 2024, I did not have class with my beloved lecturer, Dr Fareed because we had CEO Presentation with our client which is Idealite company. Our session was on morning around 10 am and the presentation was conducted online as Idealite is too far away from our campus. The owner also agreed to have an online presentation due to the distance. During the presentation, it was fun and not stressful at all since the owner is very nice and polite. My lecturer did record the meeting using AI tool to assist during the presentation and after the presentation the summary from the AI tool was sent to us as a reference. After the presentation presented by my group, the owner from Idealite gave some comments on the website and they like the website's design very much. They also told that the design of the website was out of their expectation since we had put a lot of efforts in developing it. Week 11 in Digitalization Class

 On 5th of June, I did not have class n the morning session due to my beloved lecturer's neighbor passed away and he was needed to attend the funeral. However, I did have class on the afternoon lab session. During the class, I had learnt about Supply Chain Management (SCM) which is incredibly important in managing an establishment in digitalization. SCM can be separated into 2 types of models which are push and pull. Push model is the businesses that conducted by pushing product to customers. In other word, the products were produced in mass production to satisfy certain class and needs of customers. While pull model is the businesses that supplies products after receiving customer orders. In other word, the products were produced based on the customization of customers. So, these 2 models may face several problems in supply chain, but the 2 primaries sources of problems are uncertainties and the need to coordinate multiple activities, internal units and business partners. On 29th May, I did not have a morning session class due to my beloved lecturer, Dr. Fareed had an important meeting to attend. However, I did have a class in the afternoon lab session. In the class, I have learned about SCM which have the full name of "Supply Chain Management". Before the class started, my lecturer had shared a lot of information regarding the usage of digitalization in current era. It was so interesting to listen to the story told. It was also very informative as a fresh learner about digitalization. In the class, I have learned that, to digitalize certain areas in Food Service, we must first digitalize the data and information so that analysis can be done in order to know the problems in the field and the importance of digitalization in solving the problems. 

Week 9 in Digitalization Class

 In week 9 class on 24th of May, I have learned about "Social Computing" which is about Web 2.0. Web 2.0 is about Social Networking Web Sites that contain social graph and social capital. For example, Google Maps is one of the apps that is invented in the era of Web 2.0. Social commerce such as Facebook, Twitter etc. are the tools that have lots of benefits to customers as it is a better and faster vendor response to complaints. In other word, it acts as a platform for customers to help each other in solving problems which means that customers' expectations can be met more fully and quickly. Not only that, social commerce also bring benefits to businesses. It can help the company to learn a lot about their customers and identify the problems instantly and alleviate customers' anger. Week 8 in Digitalization Class

 On week 8, It was supposed to be on Wednesday class but due to the not feeling well of our lecturer, our class had to postponed to the next day which was on Friday with the other group of classmates. However, during the class, I have learned about e-commerce marketing which can be divided into 3 types that are B2B, B2C and C2C. B2B is the shortform of "Business to Business" marketing that indicates that the transaction was carried out between a particular business to another business. Likewise, for the B2C which indicates the "Business to Customer" marketing that significant the transaction was carried out between a business entity direct to the customers without any agent as a middleman. In nowadays society, the transactions are mostly carried out with the type C2C which gave the meaning of "Customers to Customers".  On week 7, I do not have class with my beloved lecturer, Dr. Fareed due to the Labor Day holiday. However, we had replaced our class with another group which is on Friday (3rd May 2024). In the class, I have learned about E-marketing, E-business and E-commerce. These three are basically something related to each other. For instance, E-commerce is a process of transferring, selling or buying products through Internet while E-business is a much broader concept compared to e-commerce which indicates that any business carried out online is so called E-business but not all E-business is categorized as E-commerce. Furthermore, E-marketing is a process of carry out marketing research through online. In E-commerce, it can be defined into more detail, such as brick-and-mortar organizations, Virtual organizations and clicks-and-mortar organizations.
